International day

This is an invitation for colleagues from abroad to visit St Christopher’s and to learn how the original vision and values of hospice care of Cicely Saunders have developed into cutting edge end of life care services for the community in 2012.  St Christopher’s has undergone substantial changes in the delivery of its services, developing its care, education and research programmes as a ‘hub’ for the communities it serves: local people, patients and professionals national and internationally.

There are several innovations in clinical care and organisation which will be presented on this day, including the transformation of home and day care practice, outcome measures, social, spiritual and psychological approaches and practice with children and families.

Presentations by senior members of staff and the day will include a tour of St Christopher’s.
