Fundraising Story – Diane

Diane, along with her family and friends, fundraises for St Christopher's through holding coffee mornings and their "Annual Open Day"

“Following the passing of my dad in 2008 my family and friends have been fundraising for St Christopher’s. My dad spent his last few days at the hospice and this is our way of giving a bit back for all the care and support we received at such a difficult time in our lives.

“We hold coffee mornings throughout the year but our one big fund raiser is our “Annual open day” which takes place each May. These photos are of our recent one which was on Saturday 16th May where we raised £1,691.50. It’s a great social event where we have a raffle, tombola, guess the tea bags, guess the sweets in the jar, plants, cakes and tea etc.

“This year we had over 70 through the door in just 3 hours. It is so lovely that everyone is so supportive for such a great charity and we are proud to have reached the grand total of £20,444.37 over the last 7 years” Diane
