From our Joint Chief Executives
We’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy New Year
Thank you for your generous and unwavering support of St Christopher’s. This makes all the difference to our patients and service users enabling us to provide and develop the services people need.
It’s been another fantastic year. One of our personal highlights was a very special hospice event in June 2015 to celebrate Dame Cicely Saunders’ life and many achievements. On the tenth anniversary of her death at the hospice, 120 people gathered from as far afield as the Shetland Isles and Uganda to remember her and hear fascinating recollections from those who knew her best.
Her aspirations and vision are as true today as they’ve ever been and form the cornerstone of our current strategic priorities. We are already starting to plan a series of exciting events for 2017 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the modern hospice movement which started right here at St Christopher’s. We look forward to sharing more of our plans with you over the coming months.
Looking forward to the coming year, there’s plenty of ways to get involved from our Bluebell Fundraising Walk in the spring to our remembrance services in December. Or why not consider volunteering for us, it’s a great way of meeting people and learning new skills. Whatever you decide, we’re grateful for your support and hope to see you at one of our events very soon.
