Why leave St Christopher’s a gift in your Will?

St Christopher’s Hospice serves a population of 1.5 million across the five boroughs of south-east London; Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.  We are one of the largest hospices in the UK, with 48 beds across four specialist wards.  We currently have over 500 outpatients who rely on a range of vital health and support services, and, on any given day, our nurses are supporting over 600 people in their own homes.

All of our patient and family services are provided free.

It costs more than £14 million to deliver all of our services.  Only about a third of this comes from the NHS. This means that we rely on supporters and local communities for the rest - over £9 million every year.  Legacies account for well over half of the money we raise.

Dame Cicely’s words ring true as much today as when she first said them: “You matter because you are you, and you matter to the end of your life. We will do all we can not only to help you die peacefully, but also to live until you die.”
