This year’s St Christopher’s Moonlight walk is approximately 4 miles long and will take in the Shirley Windmill and the Addington Hills Viewing Platform. There will also be refreshments at the Chateau of Coombes Lane, which will be supplied jointly by the Rotary Clubs of Croydon and surrounds. There is a wheelchair friendly route available.
Make sure you arrive at 7pm to sign in and take part in our warm up session before we all set off at 8pm!
All the money you raise will go directly to St Christopher’s Bereavement Services.
Woodside Bereavement Service
We are proud to be holding this walk alongside Woodside Bereavement Service – a free counselling service for families living in the Croydon area who are experiencing bereavement and loss.
Woodside Bereavement Service is a volunteer-based free service open to any person. It offers one-to-one and group bereavement counselling to adults, children and young people and families, in their homes at our centre, in schools or at a mutually agreed location. FIND OUT MORE
One of the most effective and simplest ways to fundraise is to set up a JustGiving page.
It takes less than two minutes to enter your details, and another couple of minutes to share on your Facebook page.
Your entry fee covers the costs of putting on the event only. It is your sponsorship money that makes a difference, and we encourage you to raise as much as you can. There is no minimum sponsorship for this event, but it would be great if everyone that participates could try to raise at least £50 each. Set yours up here today.
Once you have registered, we will email you your Croydon Moonlight Walk Information Pack which will have more information about the day by 21 August.
Once you have registered, download a sponsorship form and start fundraising!
We are looking for marshals to cheer and motivate participants by covering one of the marshal points on the course. This crucial role ensures the event runs smoothly and participants feel motivated.
This role is perfect for team players with great communication skills who can use their initiative.
