About the conference:

This international two day conference for physiotherapists working in palliative care will focus on everyday practical and psychosocial challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experience, will be updated in the latest developments, have time to reflect on their clinical reasoning process and can set further targets for the development of palliative physiotherapy.

This conference offers – in one of the best known institutions delivering palliative care – a wide range of lectures and workshops. The main topics are, amongst others, goal setting and patients´ expectations, dementia, psycho-social challenges (e.g. anxiety & anger), exercise and training in palliative care including group work (e.g. circuits, breathlessness & fatigue), models of clinical supervision, assessments and neurological challenges.

Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in a guided tour of the hospice and also one of the most comprehensive palliative care libraries in the world. Optional social events including informal cocktails and dinner in Central London are also scheduled in the programme.
