Groups can be powerful vehicles for change. People are sometimes asked to run groups in palliative and end of life care with little preparation. This day is designed to consider the mixed economy of groups from one off meetings, short term focussed groups to therapeutic and user feedback groups. The principles and practice of facilitating effective groups will be presented with case examples of a variety of groups commonly run in day, therapeutic and bereavement care. There will be a focus on the practical steps that need to be considered to run successful groups.
