Hospice information service
“I have really appreciated your readiness to provide information, contacts and connections. I was not expecting this much support when I sent that first email to the Hospice information service. The information you provided has been so helpful, that we really believe that we can get started within the next year.” The Hospice information service is provided by Help the Hospices in partnership with St Christopher’s. The combined skills, resources, experience and commitment to local, national and international palliative care of our parent organisations help us to deliver a supportive and professional service to anyone who is involved in palliative care. At the heart of our work is ‘connecting people’: helping the professionals who need a helping hand, or who work in isolation, or with limited resources, to learn from each other and, through provision of information to the public about palliative care across the world, to give patients a degree of choice. The Hospice information service offers… • a personal enquiry service provided by our six-strong team of information specialists. We handle more than 7,000 enquiries a year – from helping a newly appointed hospice nurse to access an online training course to helping a patient to find palliative care in Kenya We are in touch with more than100 countries of the world – sign up to our publications and feel a bigger part of the worldwide hospice and palliative care community.
