Fabric and Threads

EVENT OVERVIEW

Every Wednesday evening
7pm to 9pm
St Christopher's Hospice, 51-59 Lawrie Park Road, London, SE26 6DZ

Our Wednesday evening quilting and creative textiles group Fabric and Threads is open to everyone; patients, carers, bereaved friends and relatives, staff and volunteers as well as the community.

No experience is needed to join our Fabric and Threads group; you will be welcomed whether you bring expertise or simply enthusiasm! The group is a supportive environment where you can explore colour, texture and stitched surfaces using a range of fabrics and a variety of skills including quilting, knitting and crochet. Help will be given as needed.

From January we will be working on an exciting new project in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Arts, Piccadilly, to coincide with their exhibition ‘Painting the Modern Garden from Monet to Matisse.’ Please do come along and find out more.

Fabric and Threads is a lovely way to meet and socialise with new people, relax, get creative and share ideas and skills with others. Throughout the evening a wide selection of refreshments is available to buy from our lovely Anniversary Centre café.

Our group meets in the bright and spacious Anniversary Centre at St Christopher’s, 51-59 Lawrie park Road, Sydenham, on Wednesday evenings from 7pm – 9pm.

Fabric and Threads is run as part of the St Christopher’s Social Programme of events.
