One of the annual highlights of the festive season is the Christmas Festival, which was held in the grounds of the Sydenham site on Saturday, 2 December. The event was attended by over 1,000 people who visited stalls, played tombolas, went on horse and cart rides, jumped on the bouncy castle, had their faces painted and enjoyed roasted chestnuts, mulled wine and live entertainment. Some were lucky enough to even meet Santa Claus and one of his elves in his grotto.
The event raised over £12,000! This is an amazing achievement so a huge thank you to everyone who donated prizes, attended with friends and family or gave their time to make sure the Christmas Festival was such a success.
Fundraiser, Remi Knight said: “The festival was fantastic and it was lovely to have so many people attend the day and enjoy themselves. We are over the moon by how much was raised and can’t thank everyone enough for their support.”
