The Twilight Walk will help us to raise the vital funds both hospices need to support and care for our local communities, and be there for even more people across south east London.

We are encouraging you to join us and walk united with hundreds of like-minded people to do something remarkable. Together, we will walk as one, raising money, raising awareness and spreading the word about the work of both St Christopher’s and Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.

  • Volunteers are the only way we can make this event happen. You will be on hand to help ensure the smooth running of the event and help all of our walkers have the best day possible!

    What will I be doing?

Marshalling: You will be positioned at key points in the route to ensure walkers are heading in the right direction, as well as cheering them on and keeping them motivated!

Base Camp Team: Enthusiastic volunteers interact with our walkers before and after the walk. This will include selling our merchandise, registration, refreshments and generally looking after our walkers . You’ll also help to keep the event site clean and tidy, ensuring everyone is safe at the event.

At the finish line: We need energetic volunteers to congratulate our walkers as they cross the finish line and present them with their medals.

Event setup: Help setup the event site by setting up refreshments, registration and t-shirts stands. As the finsih is in a different area to the start we need help moving the equipment to the finish once the walkers have set off.

Event breakdown: Help take everything down at the end of the day. This includes signage along the route and event site.

As a Volunteer, you’ll be giving up a few hours of your time to make a big difference. Please contact Georgie at or call 020 8768 4575 for more information

  • Together we provide care and support to over 9,000 people every year. But there are many more that need our help. We believe in a world in which all dying people and those close to them have access to the care and support they need, for however long that may be, where ever that may be.

All the money raised from this event will go directly to St Christopher’s and Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice, allowing us to care for our patients and those close to them in south east London.
