Visitor and Clinical Placement Programme

We continue to offer a warm welcome to all visitors from the many hundreds of applications received by St Christopher’s Hospice each year. Although we welcome visitors to the hospice, the privacy of our patients and their relatives is the most important factor when agreeing a visit. Wherever possible, we encourage both UK and international guests and small groups to join a Friday visit. All programmes include a range of talks, a tour of the hospice, library, bookshop and a brief visit to a ward.

• we are unable to provide interpreters for placements or group visits.

Friday visits

An opportunity to visit St Christopher's

Friday visits offer professionals the opportunity to visit the hospice to meet senior members of hospice staff, to see our facilities at first hand and to hear about the work being carried out at St Christopher’s. Most Friday visit groups comprise a diverse range of professionals and volunteers connected by their interest in palliative care. The possible international mix of the group is always a learning and networking opportunity and provides fascinating insights into the world of hospices and palliative care.
