The team also organises and curates patient exhibitions, concerts and works in partnership with other arts organisations. We run schools programmes exploring issues around death and dying and how to make sense of them.
Your new role will be to provide leadership, collaborating with others where appropriate, in engaging with patients, carers, family members and the public in the ‘Art for All’ programme delivered in the Anniversary Centre, Sydenham and the Caritas Centre, Orpington. You will also maintain our existing community engagement project work with schools, colleges, museums and art galleries.
To succeed in this role you will have a Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Fine Arts, Community Arts or other relevant recognised qualification (including a recognised therapeutic arts qualification). You will need to be enthusiastic to work creatively and collaboratively with colleagues internally, you will also have the ability to develop partnerships with others managing these successfully in the short, medium to long term. You will need to have understanding of the dying process and have the ability to manage the emotional impact of the work.
What you need to do now if you are interested, please contact Andrew Goodhead, Spiritual Care Lead on 0208 768 4604 or firstname.lastname@example.org for an informal discussion about the role.
