St Christopher’s Hospice was founded in 1967 by Dame Cicely Saunders and formed part of the modern hospice movement. Proudly celebrating over 50 years and with a turnover of over £20 million, we provide invaluable care and support to over 6,000 people across the five London Boroughs of Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.

Charity shops are more popular than ever and the retail shops for St Christopher’s raise over one million pound per year to support the Hospice. In the last year we have expanded our retail shops from 19 to 23 and we trade across the Bromley and South East London area and we are open 7 days a week.

Your new role
In this new and exciting role as the “Online Retail Manager” you will be responsible for driving online trading performance to meet targets. You will follow and assist your line manager in the developing and executing of the commercial trading strategy, manage the online team, online shops and the lifecycle of products, drive improvements through analysis, planning and execution, following the department’s agreed strategy.

To succeed in this role
You will have excellent industry knowledge together with a strong awareness of market trends and dynamics along with business sense and B2C sales skills. You will be analytical, computer literate and numerate with advanced digital skills and a strong background in retail, team management and budgeting. The successful candidate will be able to manage and perform strategic and profitable online activities, liaising with all stakeholders.

You will be solutions focussed and a great team player. Additionally, it is just as important to us that you have the following skills;
• Confident, influential and with excellent customer service skills;
• Have the ability to use own initiative and to resolve problems;
• A passion for retail and a creative flair.
