Beacons of CARE

Beacons of CARE

St Christopher’s has long enjoyed strong partnerships with organisations across the world who share an ambition to change the experience of death, dying and grief through education and training.

The Centre for Awareness and Response to End of Life (CARE) at St Christopher’s is interested now to formalise and grow these relationships through a new initiative – Beacons of CARE.

Our interest in this reflects our enduring commitment to global palliative care development, new learning resources that could support such development and an appreciation of the opportunity to work in stronger partnership to increase its reach and impact.

Benefits for Beacons

Once there is mutual agreement regarding the value of a partnership approach to professional learning on the part of CARE and a Beacon organisation, the Beacon can expect the following

Guidance

Guidance about the most effective means of facilitating learning on the part of many different professionals involved in end of life care

Learning

Access to a variety of virtual learning products developed by CARE that can be adapted and contextualised to meet local demand and opportunity

Support

Support for the development and improvement of learning offers developed by the Beacon (optional and subject to funding)

Networks

The opportunity to engage with a network of educationalists, trainers and facilitators from different parts of the world, providing access to related peer advice, support and guidance

Our partnerships would also receive joint branding with CARE where products and learning have been co-developed.

Women in Fellowship

Beacons of CARE is made possible through the generous funding of Women in Fellowship
