This spring, Falconwood Golf Club held its eighth annual Charity Golf Day to raise money for two local charities, one of which was St Christopher’s.

Kathryn and David Whitbread played a key role in organising the event and had the following to say:

“We were very lucky this year with the weather being settled and warm. There were 70 people, both golfers and helpers, taking part in the day’s events, and it was a very successful and enjoyable day.

“In total, we raised £8,000 for our Captains’ Charities, which this year were Small Steps and St Christopher’s, with the money raised being shared equally between the two charities. For a small golf club this is quite an achievement!”

A huge thank you to everyone involved for raising such a fantastic amount for the hospice and allowing us to continue supporting people in the local community who need us the most.
