Community Groups for St Christopher’s

Making a difference together

At St Christopher’s we rely on the support of our community.

Since we were founded in 1967, local community groups have raised vital funds, volunteered where needed most, and contributed in countless other ways. In 2019, community groups raised more than £60,000 for St Christopher’s.

To put that into perspective, this amount could enable nearly 4,000 Clinical Nurse Specialist visits to homecare patients allowing people to receive excellent care in the comfort of their home.

What’s involved?

When you name St Christopher’s your Charity of the Year you commit to raising funds to support us throughout the year. This could involve:

  • Organising a large event, or several smaller events
  • Advertising your support of St Christopher’s in your meeting place and online
  • Placing a collection tin in your clubhouse or meeting place and asking your members to contribute small donations
  • Taking on a challenge as a team – perhaps one of our various sporting challenges
  • Or getting creative and raising money in a completely different way

Our Volunteer Speakers are specially trained individuals who attend events and fundraisers to talk about St Christopher’s. Many of the speakers volunteer in other roles at the hospice, and all are comfortable addressing large groups.

Our speakers help bring to life what St Christopher’s means to the community and why your support is so very important. Contact us today to book a speaker for your event.
