Professor Bee Wee talking at St Christopher's 50 years of Education conference

We recently held the first in our 50 Years of Hospice Care Evolution conference series marking the 50th Anniversary of both St Christopher’s Hospice and the modern hospice movement.

The conference on education featured speakers including Prof Bee Wee, National Clinical Director for End of Life Care for NHS England who delivered an insightful keynote address on the role of hospices; whether to care or to educate.

The day also explored exciting new technological innovations including the ECHO project in Northern Ireland and how hospices respond to governmental policy regarding vocational education.

The next conference in the series takes place on 26 May and takes a look at Spiritual Care. Spiritual Care Lead and conference chair, Rev Dr Andrew Goodhead explains more about the programme in the brand new video flyer, which can be viewed above.

The final three conferences in the series will look at Bereavement Support, Research and Care.
