Breathlessness Workshop

Watching someone experience acute breathlessness can be unnerving, leaving us feeling helpless and unsure what to do. We might say “Calm down and breathe deeply”- but is there a better way to support people experiencing frightening breathlessness?

Have you ever struggled to know how to support someone having a breathlessness attack? Have you ever wondered how to help someone who is always breathless? Then this is the workshop for you.

The next date for this workshop will be announced soon.

Outline

Breathlessness can significantly impact a person’s quality of life. In this workshop we will explore the different causes of breathlessness and what we can do to support people experiencing it.

We will explore a variety of techniques to help people improve their control of their breathing day to day as well as strategies to support during a breathlessness attack.

What will I learn?

In this workshop we will look at practical skills that you can use to support people as well as the reasons why you might use them.

We will use role play and practices to help you embed the learning from today’s session.

Who is it for

This is a workshop for anyone that supports people who might experience breathlessness, or is interested in the subject and wants to find out more. It is open to anyone. No experience is needed.
