Join us to find out how your Care home can become a Partner with HELP for Care Homes. Our Partners have access to an extensive programme of learning which focuses on continuous and practice development.
Experts from St Christopher’s and Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice have joined together with the aim of providing high quality training in end of life care, forming Hospice Education and Learning Partnership (HELP).
We are delighted to be working with our HELP Care Home Partners to maintain and improve the quality of life for people living in the last phase of life in care homes.
The session will give you a brief overview of the hospice movement in the past, and the Partnership with Care Homes, the hospices of the future.
The course will cover an Introduction to the Programme of learning, including benefits and costings as well as opportunity to explore and discuss the full programme on offer and speak with the Managers of several of our Partner Care Homes.
If you have any questions about this or any of our other courses, please contact the Education team who will be happy to help
At St Christopher's, a registered charity, it is important for us to maximise any surpluses to reinvest in the objectives of the charity.
Unfortunately, the manner in which we undertake our training currently means we are not able to invest as much of our surplus as possible, therefore from the 1 December 2017, St Christopher’s Education Centre will charge VAT at the standard rate on our training courses, the reason for this change in pricing is twofold:
i) We want to be able to reinvest any surpluses made from training back into all of our charitable objectives rather than only Education
ii) We want to be able to reclaim the VAT on costs relating to developing and running the training courses
