  • Session information

We are looking forward to welcoming you to this Registered Managers Network Meeting.

We are delighted that psychologist Barbara Wren will come along to facilitate. Barbara has been working with groups of staff across health and social care around their experiences of the Covid pandemic.

At this session there will be lots of opportunities for thinking and reflecting on the effect of the pandemic on your role as managers. Barbara will support us to consider the most challenging aspects of our roles, and also what has been the most meaningful.

We would really encourage you to take a few hours out of your day for time to reflect on what the pandemic has meant to you.

  • Who is it for?

This Registered Managers Network meeting is in conjunction with Skills for Care and is available to all care homes.

More about St Christopher's education

St Christopher’s Education Centre and VAT charges

At St Christopher's, a registered charity, it is important for us to maximise any surpluses to reinvest in the objectives of the charity.

Unfortunately, the manner in which we undertake our training currently means we are not able to invest as much of our surplus as possible, therefore from the 1 December 2017, St Christopher’s Education Centre will charge VAT at the standard rate on our training courses, the reason for this change in pricing is twofold:

i) We want to be able to reinvest any surpluses made from training back into all of our charitable objectives rather than only Education

ii) We want to be able to reclaim the VAT on costs relating to developing and running the training courses
