A night of Jazz that will warm your heart on 29 September

Aydenne Simone (AKA Big Mama) & The Big Mama Trio offer a night of Jazz that will warm your heart and transport you to the Vanguard, Green Mill or the Alabama – Aydenne and her powerhouse vocals, injects new life into tunes we love and some, you should get to know. There are unexpected twists and turns in Aydenne’s voice that will have you pulling all sorts of funny faces in wonderment. As a host and band leader, she ingratiates you into an intimate performance with a lot of heart and soul – humbly offering all the space and shine that Big Mama’s trio deserves.

On bass, we have Tom Dring – one of the UK’s finest bassists, awe-inspiring drummer Gwilym Jones and Olly Chalk with blow-your-mind talent on the piano. Warning: Olly and Simone’s chemistry when they play Sarah Vaughan’s ‘Tenderly’ may bring a tear to your eye, it certainly has for us!

Concerts at CARE

St Christopher's CARE

Join us for Concerts at CARE, a wonderful series of musical concerts starting this summer, continuing the St Christopher’s history of music events.

Concerts at CARE begins with an introduction to welcome and share with the audience the work of the hospice and the aims of St Christopher’s CARE, followed by a fabulous musical concert.

There are two concerts planned in July and September, delivering two completely different, but equally wonderful musical ensembles of classical music and classic jazz & blues respectively.

Naturally, the aim of the concerts to also raise funds for St Christopher’s, whilst enjoying beautiful music.
