A screening of a film about South London based on memories of older local residents.
Created by sharing stories, images, archive film and memories, South London Stories is an invitation to look at the city with our older neighbours and see how it’s been shaped by and for us.
South London Stories: Seeing Through the Eyes of Time has been developed over three months through a series of workshops collecting stories and memories from older people who attended the Headlines group at Ewart Community Hall, and with patients of St Christopher’s Hospice.
The project offered any older residents who felt alone and isolated a safe and creative space. As a new part of St Christopher’s community initiatives, the Creative Neighbourhoods Project integrates the arts alongside Compassionate Neighbours, Creating Conversations in Croydon, Coach4Care and Bereavement Help Points, offering a wide range of community support.
