Join us to celebrate the lives of those we have loved at our Sydenham celebration.

Side-by-side we will remember our loved ones and honour the lives of those we hold dear as dedicated lights are lit in their memory.

The uplifting celebrations give us time and space to be with our memories – a special moment devoted to those we will never forget.

And in that moment, together, we find comfort, share strength and help light the way for hospice families this festive season.

Arrival

Sydenham address:

Our service is due to start at 4pm – please arrive within good time. The event will take place at the front of the hospice – look out for our event marquees.

Parking

Unfortunately, we’re not able to offer parking on site for the service. There is free street parking available around the hospice. But please do use public transport if you’re able to.

There will be a designated area for you to drop off and pick up those less abled.

Service

Please arrive for the event just before 4pm and we will aim to start the service soon afterwards. The service will finish at 5.30pm

There will be songs, moments of reflection, candle lighting and your loved one’s names will be shown during the service. Our hospice tree will also be lit up to represent loved ones lost and remembered.

We will have a quiet room and support staff on hand if you need some time to reflect.

It could be quite chilly so please wrap up warm as the service will take place outside. There will be a warm undercover area for those who need to stay warm.

Refreshments

There will be free mince pies and warm drinks available.

Toilets will be available on site.

Dedicating a light

If you make your dedication before 11:55pm on Wednesday 29 November, your loved one’s name will be shown during the service.
