For your safety you must sign in on arrival. You can start your walk any time from 8.30am and last check in time (dependent on route). We do not need to know your route in advance.
Please note that if walking the 8 mile or 11 mile route, you need to start by 12pm.

We ask you to return no later than 5:30pm when the event finishes, for us to congratulate you and to receive your medal!
Yes, you will be able to register on the day however the registration fee will be higher than the pre-register amount. We encourage everyone to register in advance. Advance registration will close on Tuesday 14 May 2019.
Your registration fee covers the event administration events and registration fee is non-refundable.

Participants can purchase a t-shirt for £5 either at the event or on one of the collection days below.
T-shirts are subject to availability and there will be limited t-shirts available on the day at Keston. We are asking all participants to collect their t-shirts before day.

All routes on the walk start and finish at Keston Common (opposite the Greyhound pub). You don’t have to be super fit to take part.
There are routes for all abilities (3, 5, 8 and 11 miles). The walk is not a race.
We will give you a copy of the map and instructions at the event.

Unfortunately the routes are not suitable for those using a wheelchair or pram as they contain stiles and narrow footpaths through the countryside.
Yes, dogs are welcome but need to be on a lead.
We do not allow the use of bicycles or scooters on this walk.
Please make sure you wear some comfortable and supportive shoes or trainers. The weather can vary so do come prepared for anything.
There are no cloakroom facilities, so you will not be able to leave your belongings behind when you do the walk.
There will be hot food and refreshments to purchase on the day at the start/finish point at Keston Common.

There is very restricted parking around the common with only a few car parks for public use.
We strongly advise you use our FREE Fun Walk bus service! As there is no parking we wanted to make it as easy as possible for our walkers to get to Fun Walk. This is all possible courtesy of Stagecoach who volunteer their time to drive for this event.
Pick-up and drop off service from Bromley South Station
- The first bus: The first bus of the day will leave Bromley South Train Station at around 8.00am. These will run every 20-25mins (approx)
- Where to find the bus stop: The bus stop is at the front of the station in front of Scott’s Pharmacy (stop is alsoserved by the 61 / 208 / 261 / 320 / 336 / 358)
- The last bus: The last two buses of the day are at 5.45pm from Keston Common. Please note: the first one will leave as soon as it’s full
Park and Ride Service from Norman Park, Hayes Lane entrance (NOT the Bromley Common A21 entrance)
- The first bus: The first bus of the day will leave at around 8.10am. These will run every 20-25mins (approx)
- Where to find the bus stop: The bus stop is just outside the park on Hayes Lane. This is a permanent bus stop called ‘Hayes Lane/Norman Park’ (which is also served by 119 & 146)
- The last bus: The last two buses of the day are at 5.45pm from Keston Common. Please note: the first one will leave as soon as it’s full.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Buses replace trains on routes through Orpington on Sunday 19 May
Routes affected:
Between London Charing Cross and Sevenoaks / Orpington / Hastings / Dover Priory; between London Victoria and Orpington
Engineering work is taking place between Chislehurst / Bickley and Sevenoaks, closing all lines.
How will this affect my journey?
Southeastern:
Grove Park Line:Trains will run between London Cannon Street and Chislehurst only, and buses will replace trains between Chislehurst and Sevenoaks. (These trains are also running from London Cannon Street instead of London Charing Cross.)
Hastings Line:London Cannon Street to Hastings services will be diverted via an alternative route and will not stop at Orpington but will stop at Chislehurst instead to connect with replacement bus services. (These trains are also running from London Cannon Street instead of London Charing Cross.)
Paddock Wood Line:London Cannon Street to Dover Priory / Ramsgate services will be diverted via an alternative route between London Bridge and Sevenoaks and will be retimed. (These trains are also running from London Cannon Street instead of London Charing Cross.)
Bromley South Line: Buses replace trains between Bromley South and Orpington.
Thameslink:
The 06:46 and 07:16 Orpington to London Victoria services will be replaced by buses between Orpington and Bromley South. Customers should use alternative services between Bromley South and London.
