Global Palliative Nursing Network
2 nurses facing each other

GPNN Regional Leads

The network is aligned with the six WHO regions, and Regional Leads play an important role in supporting connection, visibility, and growth.

This role is designed to be light-touch and supportive – focused on connection and signposting. It provides a meaningful opportunity to influence the network’s evolution, strengthen global collaboration, and showcase the work and impact of nurses across the region.

Do get in touch with your regional leads if you want to become more involved or looking for more information about the network at education@stchristophers.org.uk and tell us which region you are linked to.

A regional lead:

  • Represents their region – sharing priorities, perspectives, and needs as a supportive voice for their area.
  • Champions others – helping connect and encourage nurses working in end-of-life and palliative care to engage with and benefit from the network.
  • Collaborates and contributes – offering feedback, responding to occasional requests, and helping shape the network’s direction and activities.
  • Increases visibility – ensuring their region is represented in the quarterly newsletter by sharing updates, stories, and celebrations, and encouraging others to contribute.

Join us

Since our launch in 2023, over 1000  nurses from 80 countries have joined the network — and it’s still growing! GPNN is already proving to be a vital force for professional development and support.

The aim of the GPNN is to establish a worldwide network to provide peer support and professional development for all nurses working in palliative care – wherever they are.
