Run for St Christopher’s and take part in one of the world’s greatest challenges

Take on the famous 26.2 mile route, passing some of London’s most iconic landmarks including the Cutty Sark, Canary Wharf, the London Eye and the Tower of London!

  • Applying for a charity place

    We have now closed for applications for our 2022 London Marathon Charity Places. However, you can still apply to join our reserve list in case an injury occurs or one of our runners is not able to take part for any reason.

    Own places

    If you are successful in getting your own place through a running club, deferred entry, ballot place or Good for Age entry we would love for you to run for St Christopher’s and join our team. Tell us you’re running for St Christopher’s by emailing Jo at j.mowbray@stchristophers.org.uk

    2022 ballot

    The public ballot for the 2022 Virgin Money London Marathon opened on Sunday 3 October 2021 and closed on Friday 8 October 2021 with results due to be announced in February 2022.

  • We offer all our runners fantastic support and we will ensure your London Marathon experience is unforgettable.

    When you sign up you will have access to the following:

    • Training and fundraising advice
    • A fundraising pack containing useful resources, top tips, a sponsorship form, and much more
    • A dedicated point of contact in our Fundraising Team to help you along the way
    • Access to our London Marathon social media groups where you can virtually meet all of the other people running for St Christopher’s
    • Regular e-newsletters with our latest updates and upcoming events
    • A physiotherapist talk to help you with your training
    • Team training runs
    • A running vest or t-shirt with iron-on letters
    • Cheers and whoops from our volunteer cheer station on the marathon route.
  • We do not have charity places in the Virtual London marathon for 2022, but you can secure your own place in the event. If you do have your own place and you would like to run on behalf of St Christopher’s, that’s great – we would love to have you on the team and we’ll give you all the support you need!
