Stunning family garden of almost one acre opening for the first time

  • Parking in surrounding roads
  • Refreshments available
  • Plant sale
  • Supervised children free

We are delighted to introduce this stunning family garden of almost one acre, which is open for the first time this June having been renovated over the last 8 years and which still retains many original features.

Enter via the formal white garden where gravel pathways link geometrical box-edged beds containing cistus, roses and hydrangeas and which is surrounded by trees including a line of mature magnolias.

Once in the rear garden a large patio area gives way to steps down to a tranquil sunken garden with a rectangular pond nestled between beautifully planted colourful borders and a majestic cherry tree.

Visit the large greenhouse and composting area with vegetable planting, fruit trees, fruit cage and cutting bed. Wander on to the wildlife area with meadow and recently planted woodland.

Step into the newly created peaceful “secret” garden which can be entered via a sympathetically renovated door from the original coal shed and provides a calm and peaceful spot to hideaway amongst the fragrant roses and colourful planting.

There are plenty of seating areas to enjoy refreshments and take in this splendid garden. Enjoy the view from the pretty half octagonal summer house which is used as an artist studio, or relax on the family lawn.  Then take tea on the patio and head to the plant sale on the front drive (please do bring your own bags).
