Care Director

Amanda joined St Christopher’s in January 2019. She is the Director responsible for all care related activities in the Hospice. Care related activities include; medicine, community nursing, inpatient unit, allied healthcare professionals, welfare, spiritual care; social work and arts and music therapy.

An Advanced Nurse Practitioner with a background in urgent, primary and community care having worked in a GP Federation commissioning services in South West London; working as the Head of Nursing and Quality in a community provider in South East London and working in the private sector as a Service Director for the development of NHS111 across 9 CCG areas in London.

Prior to these varied roles, set up and ran, as clinical director, a social enterprise delivering a high-quality home visiting and urgent care services across London to acutely unwell patients where demonstrated business growth over four years while running an effective, efficient and quality service underpinned by good governance structures at a time when the social enterprise model within healthcare was just emerging.

Trained as a midwife and am a registered non-medical prescriber.
