Dr Anna Bone

Anna is a lecturer in Epidemiology and Palliative Care.

Anna graduated with a BA in Human Sciences from The University of Oxford, a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Imperial College London and a PhD from King’s College London. Anna has worked at the Cicely Saunders Institute since 2013, with a research interest in palliative care provision for older people living with frailty and multimorbidity.

Anna’s PhD was a mixed methods study examining patterns of Emergency Department attendance by older people towards the end of life and associated factors. Following completion of her PhD, Anna worked on the Integrated Community Palliative Partnership (ICPP) study, which explored the scope and feasibility of partnership working incorporating specialist palliative care, primary care, social care and specialised nursing, to support older people with advanced disease in care homes.
