Dr Caroline Shulman, Co-Clinical Lead, Homeless Health Programme, Healthy London Partnership, Honorary Senior Lecturer, UCL, Senior Research Fellow, Pathway.
Dr Caroline Shulman is a clinician and researcher in Homeless and Inclusion Health. She worked for a number of years as a General Practitioner providing primary care in a specialist homeless practice and as Clinical Lead for a multidisciplinary hospital homeless team. She is currently co-Clinical Lead for the pan London Homeless Health Programme at Healthy London Partnership.
Caroline is also a Pathway Clinical Research Fellow and Honorary Senior Lecturer at University College London and along with colleagues and partners from Marie Curie and Pathway leads a programme of work on palliative care, frailty and homelessness. Early work explored the challenges and barriers to accessing palliative care for this marginalized group. She has subsequently evaluated interventions to improve access to palliative care and multidisciplinary support for people experiencing homelessness as well as increased support for frontline homelessness staff. With colleagues and a range of experts, she has recently produced resources to facilitate the development of interprofessional learning and communities of practice to support those working with people experiencing homelessness who have advanced ill health
