Dr Monica Crugel has more than 20 years’ experience in psychiatry and specialises in the care of older adults and people with dementia. She was a research fellow in a two-year trial looking at the management of people with dementia in care homes. She published papers and book chapters on older adults and dementia care. The Advanced Dementia Service she is running won an NHS Innovation Challenge Prize in 2013 in and continues to be a best practice model for advanced dementia care. She has an interest in clinical leadership and education.
