Dr Sharmeen Hasan, MBBS, MRCP UK, is a Consultant Physician and Geriatrician. She was born in London and trained during her resident medical career in London, Kent and the Southeast.

Sharmeen began working at King’s College Hospital in 2011, and specialised in Geriatric and General internal medicine.

She currently manages patients on a dementia-and-delirium-friendly ward within the Healthy Ageing Unit and is clinical KCH Lead for the @home service – an integrated care service that supports patient care closer to home. She was also the Trust’s Lead for End of Life Care from January 2020 until January 2026 and sits on the The British Geriatrics Society End of Life Care Special Interest Group.  

Sharmeen also works in the Ageing Well team in Southwark ICB and was part of the recent National Frailty Improvement Collaborative for NHS England.

She has interests in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training; Audit, Quality Improvement & Transformation; Frailty and End of Life Care.
