Dr James Bashford
Dr James Bashford graduated from the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine in 2010 and commenced neurology training in 2014.
His PhD focused on the detection of spontaneous muscle twitches (fasciculations) in patients living with motor neurone disease, resulting in a novel analytical tool called the Surface Potential Quantification Engine (SPiQE).
He now works as a clinical lecturer at King’s College London and honorary consultant neurologist at King’s College Hospital. His ongoing research focuses on motor nerve pathophysiology and how the accessibility of clinic and home-based monitoring can lead to novel outcome measures in motor neurone disease clinical trials.
