Director of Quality and Innovation

Jan currently works as the Director of Quality and Innovation at St Christopher’s, having recently acted as Interim CEO for 9 months. She has held a Director role since 2019 and is the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Registered Manager for the organisation.  

Jan has been at St Christopher’s for a number of years and has led on many key initiatives, developing new clinical service models to transform operational efficiency and improve the experiences of service users. Jan has brought a passion for hearing the views of those the hospice serves, and learning from them to drive continuous improvements in quality. She currently oversees the work of the Community Action team, oversees the organisational work on addressing health inequalities and is chair of the Assisted Dying group.

Jan has over 40 years of nursing experience in HIV/AIDS (adult and children), hospice and palliative care.
