Jo Tam

I am Joanna Tam, an Assistant Professor at Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China).

Before joining academia, I worked at St Christopher’s Hospice in London, where I gained specialist experience in palliative and end-of-life care. I completed my PhD at the University of Edinburgh, focusing on hospice and end-of-life care within the Chinese sociocultural context. Over the years, I have been actively involved in promoting the development of palliative and hospice care in Mainland China through education, research, professional collaboration, and service development. My main areas of interest include palliative care, advance care planning, compassionate care, and end-of-life care education.
