I am a South African palliative care community nurse and clinical educator. I work in the beautiful City of Cape Town, at the tip of South Africa. My work is in the community teams supporting patients and their families in the home, from diagnosis of illness up to death.

I also help a local University here (the University of Cape Town) to co-ordinate and facilitate their online 10-week short course “Introduction to Palliative Care” for health and counselling professionals.

And on a Thursday morning you can find me facilitating an End-of-Life care session with the 6th year medical students.

I am tackling my MPhil in PC at the moment with a focus on the role of the Palliative Nurse in the South African context.

I am delighted to be part of this network and look forward to “meeting” you all.
