Lai Yiu is a credentialed music therapist (UK & USA), specialising in the medical settings, palliative care and children with special educational needs and disabilities. Upon receiving her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Music at the Hong Kong Baptist University, she furthered her studies in the United States of America, completing a Master’s degree in Music Therapy.

With the belief that music empowers people, she is passionate about and so firmly believe in using a holistic, individualised, and evidence-based approach in her work. She has experience in providing music therapy services for a wide range of clientele in USA, Hong Kong and the UK, across different settings including children’s hospital, hospice, special educational schools, community centres, care homes and more. Other than therapy work, she is also a freelance piano tutor and actively engaged in multiple research projects, including publishing her own master’s thesis on a peer-reviewed journal.
