Lorna Pearce
Lorna joined St Christopher’s in April 2019 as the first directly employed dietitian. Prior to this, she had worked for over 25 years in both the acute, community and management sector of the NHS as a dietitian and also as an MDT lead. Clinically she specialises in enteral nutrition and nutrition support.
Lorna has a special interest in Medical Ethics and Law particularly around capacity, autonomy and distributive justice and in the 2016 completed her MSc at Kings College London.
Currently at St Christopher’s. Lorna is the clinical team lead for the Rehab and Wellbeing team, she continues to carry a clinical caseload as a dietitian one day per week. In the context of rehabilitative palliative care she is particularly interested in ensuring that the person is seen within the patient and advocates for patients autonomy and decision making within the wider multi-disciplinary team.
