Ruth will be joining us at this conference to talk about her lived experience. For Ruth it is not about what she’s achieved but about how she’s dealt with the hand she’s been given.

Ruth has a chronic, degenerative and incurable disease that affects approximately 200,000 people in the UK. In 1997, her condition started to deteriorate – and she had to re-create her life. From resigning from her job with an NGO to learning how to deal with being unable to turn her head left or right.

Ruth feels she has experienced excellent primary and secondary care but wonders what comes next?
