Seán Kenny
Seán Kenny is a BAMT and HCPC registered Music Therapist working at St Christopher’s Hospice. He provides psychological support through the use of Music Therapy for people who are dying, their family and carers, working both in the community and inpatient care. Seán also facilitates the Singing for Breathlessness group which is a singing group for people living with long-term lung conditions. He also co-facilitates the Creative Bereavement Group at the hospice a creative therapy group using both music and art with people dealing with a bereavement.
Seán also works as a Music Therapist in NHS forensic mental health services and in a co-educational school for children with profound and multiple learning disabilities. Prior to his music therapy training he studied classical saxophone, piano and clarinet at TU Dublin Conservatoire. He also enjoys tutoring on these instruments.
