Sylvester Wambua Mulyunga
My passion lies in Palliative Care and improving the Quality of Care for patients and communities. With a Fellowship and MasterClass in Palliative Care (Institute of Palliative Medicine, India, 2022), I apply my expertise to train Health Care Workers and Community Health Promoters through continuous education, webinars, and on-the-job training.
I actively advocate for Palliative Care through media, schools, and community programs. Currently, I am training HCWs, CHPs, and community leaders in partnership with Hospice Care Kenya (HCK) and the Kenya Hospices and Palliative Care Association (KEHPCA), paving the way for Compassionate Communities in my region.
Together with Stella Rithara, I co-founded the Palliative Nurses Society of Kenya to amplify nurses’ voices, foster leadership, and advance Compassionate Communities. As a nurse, I am committed to mentoring and empowering future champions of Palliative Care.
