Teresa has worked in University Hospital Galway for over 20 years in Neurology. Her area of interest included epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease. However on becoming an Advanced Nurse Practitioner her primary caseload over the last 10-12 years are now Motor Neurone and Multiple Sclerosis.

In 2011, in collaboration with her Neurology MDT colleagues, Teresa established a MND/MDT clinic.

Prior to this, Teresa worked in London Royal Free Hospital, National hospital of Neurosciences in Maida Vale and Queens Square where she completed a neurology course. During this time she worked in Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neuro ITU. On returning to Ireland she took up a post in University Hospital Galway ICU before embarking on her current post.
