Terry is a palliative care nurse, currently working as a program manager (Projects and Advocacy) at the Indian Association of Palliative Care. He strongly believes that the current gaps and disparities in access to palliative care can largely be addressed by empowering palliative care nurses to do advanced nursing practice. They should become prescribers, practitioners of advanced nursing procedures, researchers, and managers.

Terry discovered what nursing is about while receiving palliative care training. He wants the same for the other nurses. He joined the Global Palliative Care Nurses Network (GPNN) with this vision and to collaborate and learn from fellow Nurse Champions, so that Advanced Nursing Practice will become a reality in Low and Middle Income Countries, especially at the primary care level, helping fill gaps in access to palliative care.
