Tracey Carter is an Registered Mental Nurse with over 35 years experience within the mental health arena, the last 15 years having been specifically within the Dementia Care field. Tracey is currently Head of Dementia Care at HC One.

Tracey has worked across the NHS and a range of private sector organisations and was also a Consultant Admiral Nurse at Dementia UK, working across the UK with Health, Social Care and third sector organisations, advising and supporting on the development of local dementia care pathways and services for families affected by dementia.

Having gained an MSc in Behavioural Analysis, her area of specialist interest is the functional analysis of behaviour, facilitating empathic and holistic understanding, support for those experiencing distress and stress reactions.

Tracey has a strong commitment to reducing the stigma, misunderstanding and misinterpretation of the behaviour and actions of those living with dementia.
