Xuan Liu
Hello everyone, I’m Xuan Liu from Taiwan. I currently work as an Advanced Practice Nurse at the MacKay Hospice and Palliative Care Center.
In my daily work, in addition to providing frontline care to palliative patients, I’m also actively involved in palliative care education and research. Before focusing entirely on palliative care, I spent several years working in long-term care facilities. Because of that experience, one of my current research focuses is on developing palliative care within long-term care settings, and exploring how to connect community resources to build a solid palliative care network.
I have always been deeply passionate about palliative care. It constantly shows me how people can find the strength for transformation and love, even in their most difficult and vulnerable moments. Through this work, we truly get to witness the mystery and beauty of life.
I am so thrilled to be a part of GPNN. In the advocacy group, I’ve met so many amazing partners. It’s honestly hard to describe how deeply moving it is—knowing that across different corners of the world, sometimes without even knowing exactly where each of us is from, we can gather online to share our challenges, solve problems, and truly listen to and support one another.
This connection has given me so much nourishment and strength, and it fills me with immense gratitude. I hope to have many more opportunities in the future to contribute to both our local teams and the international community.
Thank you all for being here!
