Your memories are a light that never goes out

We know how important it is to remember those we love who are no longer with us. That’s why, in December every year, we organise our Remembering with St Christopher’s event. This is an opportunity to dedicate a light in the name of someone you love.

  • All dedication names will be displayed on our website until 6 January.

Dedications received up to 22 November will be included on the Wall of Remembrance at the event and also in the South London Press publication on 11 December.

  • Remembering friends and family during the pandemic has been especially challenging. Given that we can’t all gather in the same place due to social distancing, it’s more important than ever that we find alternative ways to come together to remember.

That is why this year we will be streaming Remembering with St Christopher’s at 4pm on Sunday 6 December.

This free event is open to everyone, not just families who have been supported by St Christopher’s. All are welcome, whatever your background or beliefs. Whether you’ve lost someone unexpectedly to the Covid-19 virus, or you weren’t able to attend the funeral of someone you love, this event is an opportunity to mark that loss as part of the community.

The event will be led by Andrew Goodhead, our Spiritual Care Lead. We invite you to join us in making a moment of remembrance by lighting a candle, as well as watching musical performances and listening to reflective readings from members of St Christopher’s staff.
