Remembering with St Christopher’s, Sydenham

1 December 2019
Crystal Palace Park
We are unable to reserve parking in the park

This year's service will be held in Crystal Palace Park due to building works at our Sydenham site

Our remembrance events give you the opportunity to remember loved ones and absent friends by dedicating a light on one of our remembrance trees. This short service will be led by our Spiritual Care Lead with carols from our Community Choir and the lighting of a remembrance tree. Being with others who are also experiencing loss can be a great source of comfort and an important way of celebrating the lives of those close to you. This event is open to anyone, not just people whose loved ones were cared for by St Christopher’s or another hospice.

There will be no changes to the Remembering with St Christopher’s event at our Orpington site which will continue as normal on Sunday 24 November.

  • Like last year, this year’s service will be in Crystal Palace Park, just a few minutes walk from the hospice.

The service will be held close to the Thicket Road entrance to Crystal Palace Park, which can be found on the corner of Thicket Road and Crystal Palace Park Road.

Please be aware that while you will be able to enter the park using any entrance, you will only be able to exit the park using the Thicket Road entrance. Please also note that we are unable to reserve parking in the park and there will no marquee.

  • As you may have heard, we are in the process of building a new Learning Hub on site so we can support many more people, including families and carers, to care for their loved ones at home. Unfortunately this means that we won’t be able to hold our annual Remembering with St Christopher’s event at our Sydenham site this year.

  • Even if you can’t make it to one of our remembrance events, you can still remember the friends and family who always managed to brighten up your day by dedicating a light in their memory.
