Agreement for St Christopher’s (Trading) Ltd to Act as Agent in the Sale of your Donated Goods:

I agree that St Christopher’s (Trading) Ltd will act as agent to sell my donated goods (or may dispose of them if they can’t be sold) and I commit to Gift Aid being claimed and the net proceeds gifted to St Christopher’s automatically if they are less than £1,000 in any tax year. I remain the owner of the donated goods until they are sold.

Only if the proceeds exceed £1,000 will St Christopher’s (Trading) Ltd write to me to let me know. If I don’t want to donate to the amount raised above £1,000 and can have this sum to be paid to me, less 2.5% commission plus VAT.

I agree that at the end of the tax year St Christopher’s (Trading) Ltd will write to me detailing the total amount raised in the year and the amount I could ask to be paid to me raised subsequent to any previous letters.

The amount which qualifies for Gift Aid is the net sale proceeds (after commission and VAT are deducted) from the sale of the goods which I agree St Christopher’s may keep.

I am aware that if I sell significant quantities of goods, or I trade separately (as a sole trader) in those or similar goods, I might be deemed to be acting as a business and might be liable to income tax and VAT on the proceeds, even if donated to the St Christopher’s.
