St Christopher’s Mad Hatter’s Fair promises adventure for all the family
On Saturday 25 June the beautiful gardens of St Christopher’s hospice at 51-59 Lawrie Park Road, Sydenham, will transform into the fantasy world of Alice in Wonderland, with its first ever Mad Hatter’s Fair.
From 11am until 4pm there will colorful characters from Alice in Wonderland strolling the hospice grounds, teapots adorned with kings and queens in the Mad Hatter’s tea party refreshments and BBQ area and stalls selling gifts and handmade produce.
Children will find plenty to keep them entertained from being greeted at the entrance by the White Rabbit to face painting, a treasure hunt and storytelling from the Mad Hatter himself to help their imaginations run wild. There will be live singers and dancers performing, as well as a magic show.
Sarah Rutherford, a fundraiser at St Christopher’s explains, “This is our first Mad Hatter’s Fair and we’ve had so much fun getting everything ready. We’re lucky to have such an idyllic setting for the hospice to create a magical world for the day, and we can’t wait to share it with all our amazing supporters on Saturday. See you there!”
If visitors come dressed as their favourite characters they will not only make the Cheshire Cat smile, but also be entered into a prize draw to win some exciting prizes.
Entrance is £1 for adults but children enter for free.
